Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music and Film (as RGISI was then called) in 1992. Completed a postgraduate degree in the Department of Movement Training at RGISI. Associate Professor of the Departments of Movement Training and Directing at RGISI. Deputy of the Dean of the Faculty of Acting Arts and Directing at RGISI. Since 1994 works as a movement director in professional productions, and since 2001 as a director.
Works with the UNESCOS’s International Theatre Institute and participates in the programs of the Union of Theatre Workers’ Support Center for Russian Theatre Abroad, as well as the Association of Russian Theatres Abroad. Director of over 80 productions in Russia and abroad. Has often conducted master classes for actors and students in the national theatres of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. Has served for many years as an instructor and director at the International Baltic House Festival. Author of international artistic projects. Has worked in theatre schools in the UK (Oxford), USA (New York), Sweden (Gothenburg), Spain and Finland. Author of a series of movement-based exercises and programs that have been successfully applied in both a directing and teaching capacity. Participant of such international festivals as the Golden Mask with productions of the Alexandrinsky Theatre (dir. V. Fokin).
Recipient of diplomas from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia, the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
